Experience
a Painting Holiday with Pat Hazzledine
Why not take this wonderful opportunity to
learn or improve your watercolour and pastel painting skills on the
beautiful island of Shapinsay. Whether you are a beginner, improver or
experienced painter, you will
be able to sketch and paint the wonderful
scenery of the island. There are cliffs,
beaches, hills, lochs. a harbour, a
castle, and even a small wood - all on an island 6 miles long and 5 miles
wide!!

Painting Days - Based at Luckston |
The Painting Days, which
are based in the studio at Luckston are geared to sketching and
painting outside (weather permitting!). There are fabulous beaches,
cliffs, moorland and woodland, which are a delight to paint. Folding
chairs, water jars etc. will be provided. Please bring layers of
clothing to take off or put on according to the weather!! Also feel
free to bring water colour paints, paper, brushes or equipment of
you own if you wish. A small selection of art materials will be
available to buy or borrow if you prefer not to bring your own.
If the weather is inclement, we will be working from
within the studio at Luckston.

Regular Painting Days |
|
During the summer months Pat holds a painting
class every Thursday morning from 10:30 - 12:30, cost is £5 per
morning session. |

Weekend Painting Breaks |
|
2 day Painting Breaks can be arranged for groups of 4 or more on
request. Please Contact Pat for details.
There are several very good B&B's on
Shapinsay, as well as Balfour Castle Hotel. Pat will be pleased to send you a brochure

request.

About Pat |
| Pat Hazzledine lives and
works at her beautiful Shapinsay island home - Luckston.
Here, using beachcombing finds and other treasures
that have had previous lives, she makes mixed media assemblages and
constructions, which have echoes of Native American totemic art.
Pat also paints watercolour pictures, drawing
inspiration from beauty of the land, sea and sky-scapes around her. |
